Twas the Night Before ACL

Twas the night before ACL and all through the house all the creatures were stirring getting ready for Friday! Things are coming together. Guests and kids have arrived. Wristbands have all been redeemed. Margarita machine is churning. Backpacks are packed. The chairs are lined up in the garage with care, in hope that tomorrow the first day of ACL will be there!

To get us in the mood for the next 3 days of music, we trotted off to the Nutty Brown for a CD release party for a band we had never heard of. We were like the only ones in town who had never heard of the Randy Rogers band - the place was packed! More packed than when Bob Schneider plays, which I personally find hard to believe. We couldn't get a table outside for dinner - they were all $80 VIP tables - so we ate inside, which was fine. Afterwards we hung out under the trees (big mistake - crickets were parachuting out of the trees and were particularly attracted to Kelly) and listened to the band.

Now it is Day 1 of ACL Fest and we will probably see our first show at noon! Can't wait!!
