clouds

We have been in a cycle of afternoon showers for the past few days. Here is how the clouds looked from my window Tuesday afternoon:

It did finally rain and then totally cleared up for a lovely evening.

A highlight of my day yesterday was having lunch with Duncan. We met at Mangia Pizza on Lake Austin Blvd and he ordered a large stuffed pizza (specifically so that he would have leftovers for at least 2 days). He proudly stated that the clothes he had on were all washed by him. He had just been buying new clothes and then decided that was not sustainable (imagine that) so he decided to figure out how to wash. In the process of washing he observed that all of his clothes are either whites or darks. An important thing to know for planning future purchases if your objective is to minimize the number of separate loads in the washer.

He's figured all this out and he's not even 17 yet.
